Psychosis
Psychosis is
a mental disorder which is characterized by the impaired relationship with
reality. People who are suffering from psychosis may have self deceptions and
hallucinations. These sensory experiences are the result of absence of actual
stimulus.
People usually
have hallucinations like they may hear that someone is yelling at them even
when people are not around them. Sometimes they may have the visual
hallucinations like they see someone in front of them when person is actually
not there.

according to weather.

Problems in performing daily activities like cooking or self
care.

Associated With Psychosis

Brain diseases like Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease,
Huntington's disease and some chromosomal disorders are the causes of
psychosis.

Brain tumors.

Infection which attack the brain like syphilis and HIV.
·
Stroke.
·
Certain type of epilepsy.
Cause Of
Psychosis In Ayurveda
According to
Ayurveda, there are three energies vata, pitta and kapha which are responsible
for a healthy body. Imbalance in any of three energies results in the health
complications. Psychosis occurs due to imbalance of psychic energies - sattva,
raja and tama in connection with imbalance of physical energies which are vata,
pitta and kapha. Psychosis is the result of delusions, indulgence of negative
emotions like anger and hatred. Psychosis is called Unmad in Ayurveda.
There are
various herbs present in Ayurveda like Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri), Mulethi
(Glycerrhiza glabra),Vacha (Acorus calamus), Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera),
Ajmoda (Carum roxburghianum), Shwet jeerak (Cuminum cyminum), Krishna jeerak
(Carum carvi),Sonth (Zingiber officinale), Marich (Piper nigrum), Pipali (Piper
longum) and Patha (Cissampelos pareira) which are quite beneficial to manage
the problem of psychosis and supports the good brain health.
